After reading about Ding Tai Fung in the local newspaper, we tried it this morning with my wife and her parents. And, we were rewarded with excellent dim sum. The menu is a la carte, so everything arrived piping hot and fresh. The deep fried squid tentacles were amazing, perfectly salty & crunchy. Siu Mai was also good, done a little differently with brown rice on top. The green onion pancakes were flavourful, and not too oily. Xiao Long Bao were heavenly, with moist flavourful pork on the inside and perfectly done wrapping. We also ordered steamed vegetable buns, spring rolls, and a sticky rice bun called "si fan" with salty, crispy pork rolled into the inside. The decor is nice, and restaurant seemed very clean overall. Bill was $58 fo 4 adults including tip. I think this is some of the best dim sum in the GTA, and we've eaten extensively from Markham to Scarborough to downtown Chinatown. My parents in law who are from Taiwan and China were also impressed. We'll definitely return! Lire plus

Me and my girlfriend ordered off the prefix menu, we started with the portobello mushroom was rich in goat cheese and ricotta. My girlfriend ordered veal pizzaiola looked great she enjoyed it, I ordered spaghetti bolognese was rich in flavor and very filling with large portions. What would you expect if you tried to get a table for 7 people on a saturday nite without a reservation when the place is lined up. We had a great time, the food was good and the service was adequate considering how busy the place was. The lineup indicated they are doing something right. Decent for a pub. Service isn't the best but the BLT chicken wrap that i always order never disappoints. The greek salad is also great. I moved from Unionville to Newmarket two years ago. I still make a monthly pilgrimage to Mr Fish and Chips because I haven't found anything remotely comparable from here to Vaughan. The fish batter is light and flaky. Their chips are good, but the potato fritters (my personal favourite) are lip-smacking goodness. The eat-in area is pretty basic. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and price of the food at Sushi House. We ordered seafood soup (like a gyoza soup), bul go gi, sashimi, three orders (6pc.) of unagi sushi, and tea (of course). The sashimi was fresh and the cuts were of a good size. I have been there many times before and the food is always tasty and well priced. I would recommend it to anyone!... However, as a personal sidenote... I prefer sashimi to be really cold, almost-but-not-quite-frozen. The sashimi at Sushi House was cold but not as cold as I like it. Lire plus
